Remarks: Previously regarded as a subspecies of catenatus (e.g., Jackson 1978), although some continued to regard bibronii as a valid species (e.g., Freire 1997). Revalidated by Rodrigues, Freitas, Silva & Bertolotto (2006).
Distribution: Brazil (Alagoas, Bahia, Ceara, Minas Gerais, Paraiba, Pernambuco, Piaui, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe).
