Remarks: The single species of this genus was previously included in Trimeresurus (e.g., Haas 1950), or, more recently, in Ovophis (e.g., McDiarmid, Campbell & Touré 1999).
Distribution: As for the single species.

Remarks: Golay, Smith, Broadley, Dixon, McCarthy, Rage, Schätti & Toriba (1993) included Sarawak in the distribution of chaseni, but no other works seemed to support this (e.g., Stuebing, Inger & Lardner 2014). However, the species was subsequently recorded from Sarawak by Fukuyama, Fukuyama, Kurita, Kojima, Hossman, Noda & Nishikawa (2021).
Distribution: Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak).
