Contents: 2 species, of which 1 (50.0%) is endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Previously included the species now places in Aldabrachelys, Astrochelys, Centrochelys, Chelonoidis, and Stigmochelys.
Distribution: India (Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh), Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.

Remarks: Listed for Uttar Pradesh by Kanaujia, Kumar & Kumar (2017), but presence of the species in this state is disregarded herein, due to the lack of localities or references. Reports from Myanmar are unverified and likely to represent misidentified platynota (Zug, Leviton, Vindum, Wogan & Koo 2010). Listed for Goa by Pradhan (2008), but presumably in error or based on introductions.
Distribution: India (Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh), Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
