Remarks: Some authors regard the subspecies indi as a synonym of thurji (e.g., Ernst & Barbour 1989), others as a separate species (e.g., Bonin, Devaux & Dupre 2006). Presence in Gujarat needs confirmation (Patel & Vyas 2019; Vyas & Patel 2021).
Distribution: Bangladesh, India (Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal), Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan.
