1849 Sanzinia Gray (type species: Xiphosoma madagascariense Dumeril & Bibron 1844)
Contents: 2 species, both of which are endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Kluge (1991b) regarded Acrantophis and Sanzinia as synonyms of Boa, however, validity of both genera was confirmed by Vences, Glaw, Kosuch, Böhme & Vieth (2001). Placed in a separate family, Sanziniidae, by Pyron, Reynolds & Burbrink (2014).
Distribution: Madagascar (incl. Nosy Be).
