Remarks: Vetter & Van Dijk (2006) elevated Panyaenemys (misspelling it Panayaenemys) to status as a separate genus, but without discussion.
Distribution: SE. Asia, Malay Archipelago.

Remarks: Although reported from Leyte (type locality), presence in this island is regarded as erroneous (Diesmos, Gee, Diesmos, Brown, Widman & Dimalibot 2004; Diesmos, Brown, Alcala & Sison 2008). Hence, the previously used common name "Leyte Pond Turtle" should be avoided.
Distribution: Philippines (Dumaran, Palawan).
