Remarks: McDowell (1979) synonymized Chersydrus with Acrochordus, an arrangement which has been followed by most subsequent authors, although a few have retained Chersydrus as a valid genus (e.g., Sharma 2004).
Distribution: S. Asia, Malay Archipelago, N. Australia.
