Remarks: Previously included the population now assigned to kellyi. A record from South Sudan (Owen 1956) needs confirmation (Spawls, Mazuch & Mohammad 2023). Status of records from Congo-Kinshasa, Rwanda, and Tanzania is unclear. Keates, Conradie, Greenbaum & Edwards (2019) suggested that multisquamis is likely to be restricted to Ethiopia and Kenya.
Distribution: Congo-Kinshasa, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania.
