Remarks: Mott & Vieites (2009) synonymized Aulura (as well as Anops, Bronia, Cercolophia, and Leposternon) with Amphisbaena. These genera are retained as valid herein, following many subsequent works (e.g., Ribeiro, Nogueira, Cintra, Silva & Zaher 2011; Ribeiro, Santos-Junior & Zaher 2015; Costa & Bernils 2014; Cacciali, Scott, Aquino-Ortiz, Fitzgerald & Smith 2016, Ribeiro, Silveira & Santos-Junior 2018).
Distribution: As for the single species.
